Play ‘Timeslip’ For Free On PC

By Dave Parrack News

Timeslip is an old-skool 2D platformer with a twist: your character is caught in a never-ending time loop which sees you encountering past echoes of yourself on each level. The key to beating the game is using these past versions of the character to help the present version escape the level.

Timeslip was originally a Playstation One game created using the Net Yaroze amateur development kit. In that form it made the cover disk of Official Playstation Magazine.

It has now been given a fresh lick of paint and a new soundtrack in order to be sold on the Xbox Live Indie Games channel for Xbox 360. But it has also been made available for Windows PC, and is absolutely free on the latter platform.

This won’t be a game for everyone, but retro freaks who enjoy a cleverly-conceived challenge could certainly do worse. Especially as it’s free.

You can get it on either platform from Smudged Cat Games.
