MegaUpload’s Kim Dotcom A CoD Fan

Unless you spent half your life downloading files (copyrighted or otherwise) from MegaUpload, then you’ll likely have never heard of Kim Dotcom before last week. When MegaUpload was taken offline by the F.B.I., and Dotcom was arrested in his New Zealand mansion.
Dotcom was the founder of MegaUpload, and he made enough money through the site that he was able to live in a life of luxury. Part of which meant he could spend many hours a day expressing his passion for the Call of Duty games. So much so, in fact, that he was, at one point, the number one player of Modern Warfare 3.
As the video above shows, Dotcom was known as ‘MEGARACER’ in the game, and he spent hours working his way up the rankings to place number one for kills. Which is awesome, if not entirely pointless. I personally prefer playing games for pleasure rather than any kind of kudos.
It must have helped that Dotcom obtained his revenue from a website that pretty much operated without him having to do anything. Which left him plenty of time to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. I’d say I was jealous, but then Dotcom is now facing a legal battle which could end really, really badly. So I won’t.
