We have known Media Molecule has been working on new IP for a while now, but until today no one quite knew the nature of the game or what platform it would appear on. Thanks to Gamescom these questions have been answered.
Media Molecule, best known for the LittleBigPlanet titles, is creating Tearaway for the PS Vita. As can be seen from the teaser trailer embedded below, which is itself fresh and innovative, this takes its cue from LBP and adds something new over the top.
The main character is messenger in a world of paper that you, the gamer, can directly influence. By putting your fingers in front of the camera, blowing on the screen, and tapping or turning the handheld itself, you help our hero on his quest.
In many ways LittleBigPlanet heralded the start of the PS3′s ascent to greatness, so perhaps Tearaway will have a similar impact on the PS Vita, which, it has to be said, isn’t selling that well at the moment.
