If you own a PS3 and haven’t yet picked up a copy of either LittleBigPlanet or LittleBigPlanet 2 then what the hell are you waiting for? Stop reading this article immediately and head out to buy a copy instead.
Why? Because these games are a stroke of genius. They’re highly original for a generation which seems to have lapsed into playing an endless stream of first-person shooters. Oh, and the chances of you playing every level in the game is, well, zero, quite frankly.
The LittleBigPlanet games allow their users to create their own levels. Thanks to the clever level creation tools this aspect of the game can be just as, if not more, fun than playing through the levels which ship with the game itself.
How many of these user-generated levels are there? Only 6 million, that’s all. As the @LittleBigPlanet Twitter account tweeted just a few hours ago. That’s a hell of a lot of levels available to play for the asking price of the game and a decent broadband connection.
