Is London 2012 Video Game Worth Playing?

By Dave Parrack Opinion

If you, like me, have finally decided to get into the spirit of the Olympic Games – it’s hard not to after watching the opening ceremony for more than 3 hours – then it may be time to pick up London 2012: The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games.

That is one hell of a title, but how is the game?

This isn’t a review, as I haven’t played the game long enough to give it a full and fair assessment. But I have to say I’m impressed by this game. If you have no interest in the Olympics, or sports games in the general, than steer well clear. Because this is all sports and all Olympics all of the time. But then you didn’t need me to tell you that.

London 2012: The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games is far from perfect, but it could be the best video game based on the Olympics ever created. This is a game with a short shelf-life, so if want to play it buy it while the actual London 2012 Olympics are happening.

The game currently has a positive rating on Metacritic, and I concur with that.
