An eBay user by the name of squishy013 is selling a mind-blowing collection of Nintendo 64 hardware and games. The asking price? A cool US$65,000. But they are open to offers. The seller has had seven offers at the time of writing, all of which have been declined.
The seller claims the collection belonged to their son, who recently passed away. Some are calling this yarn into question as other rare gaming memorabilia has been bought on the account recently. But whether the story is true or not doesn’t change the quality of what’s on offer.
The collection includes dozens of N64 consoles, hundreds of N64 controllers, many games, including some rarities, and other random merchandise. Most of the items are either boxed and unopened, or used but in mint condition.
That asking price, and any offer that stands a serious chance of being accepted, is clearly beyond the reach of mere mortals. So this little lot will likely be bought by a collector with serious amounts of time and money to invest in breaking up the collection and selling the rarest items individually for a profit.
