There is a current trend for releasing remastered versions of games from past generations. Metal Gear Solid, Tomb Raider, and Splinter Cell are just three such examples, but there are a lot more.
However, not every game that we’d like to see given the HD makeover treatment has yet had it applied. Like Okami, for example, which first turned up on the PS2 and was then ported to the Wii, with decidedly average motion controls added.
There is currently a rumor spreading across the InterWebs of an HD Okami remake heading to PS3. It originated on a Japanese site that has since withdrawn the claim and apologized. But as Kotaku points out, if Capcom isn’t re-mastering Okami then why not?
Okami would look stunning on the PS3, and if the motion controls were instituted properly for Playstation Move then they would add to rather than detract from the experience. Capcom, make this happen. Please.
