Last week saw the first teaser trailer for GRID 2 land on the Web, and now, as promised, comes the first full trailer. It’s not exceptionally long, and all the footage appears to be CG rather than in-game, but it’s still a must-watch for any fans of the original.
The video ends with The Race Returns… 2013, but that’s all the details being put out at the moment. However, Gamesradar claims to have played GRID 2, and some of its views are quoted below.
Gamesradar states that GRID 2 has “the potential to be the best racing game of the generation.” Codemasters has gone for what they’re calling ‘Total Race Day Immersion’, meaning pure racing with all the spectacle and excitement you’d experience if you were doing it for real.
There are three main modes: Street Racing, Road Racing, and Track Racing, with a few extra modes thrown in for good measure. I don’t know about you but I’m excited already. I wonder how much I’ll be able to trade Gran Turismo 5 and Forza 4 in for?
