We kind of expected a new God Of War game to show up sooner or later, but most people didn’t foresee God Of War: Ascension. We have the first teaser trailer, which is embedded below, and, well, little else besides that.
That’s enough though, surely?! What more could you want than a trailer of such epic proportions. Other than that we know this will be a prequel set before the original trilogy. And I suspect more of the hack’n'slash gameplay we’ve come to know and love. Oh, and gorgeous visuals, obviously.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for the game to be released, as it’s unlikely to make an appearance until Spring 2013. And then only on the PS3, which I suspect will mean quite a few Xbox 360 owners getting their hands on a Sony console as it makes way for the next-gen hardware.
