Final Fantasy VII Confirmed For PC Re-Release

Last month saw rumors emerge that Square Enix was preparing to release a souped-up version of its classic RPG Final Fantasy VII on PC. Those rumors now been cemented with the official unveiling of the game’s dedicated website.

If you head over to finalfantasyviipc.com you’ll see all the pre-release details about the new version of the game. An announcement trailer also made it online, embedded below for your viewing pleasure.

What we know is that Final Fantasy VII will be playable on Windows PCs running XP or higher with a minimum of 1GB of RAM and a 2GHZ processor. There will also be a host of online features and achievements to unlock.

I’m not a big PC gamer but Final Fantasy VII is one of those games I cannot resist on any format. This may not be the HD remake for home consoles many of us really want, but it’ll be enough to tide us over in the meantime.
