Crystal Dynamics, the developer behind the Legacy of Kain and Gex series, and more recently the Tomb Raider franchise, is working on new IP. But not for current-gen consoles, this is purely next-gen.
Crystal Dynamics revealed at the start of the year it was working on new IP, but a new job ad on the developer’s own website (via Video Gamer) has revealed that the game is heading for “future platforms.”
Right now the only future platform we know about is the Wii U, although the Microsoft document leaked recently suggests the Xbox 720 will be arriving sometime in 2013. My guess is the PS4 will also be joining the party next year.
Little is known about Crystal Dynamics’ new IP, except for the fact it’s a “third-person action adventure.” Either way it looks as though we’ll be seeing it revealed over the next 12 months. At E3 2013 perhaps.
