The original Borderlands was a quiet hit, not generating the headlines of the latest Call of Duty or the fanboy fervor of a new Halo perhaps, but sill giving a lot of people a great many hours of entertainment.
The reasons Borderlands worked are plentiful and easy to see. It looks great with its cel-shaded visuals, the gameplay (both online and offline) is fun, and the challenge is epic. There is a lot of game there.
Now, the sequel is being prepped for release in September. Thankfully we don’t have to wait until then to get an idea of what to expect, with IGN releasing preview videos featuring two character classes.

I’m impressed. Borderlands 2 looks like being more of the same but with new features added to make the whole thing even more entertaining than it already was. Put me down for a copy in September. Please.
