The time has finally come! Instead of Hollywood executives spending countless dollars remaking movies, they have decided to finally make a sequel to Beetlejuice! It’s about time!
We loved the first movie and it’s been soooooo long since that was made that it’s only fitting to show Lydia all grown up and still dealing with her hauntings. Love this. Seriously.
Rumors are surfacing that Winona Ryder is gearing up to star in Tim Burton’s sequel to the 1988 movie. There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the sequel ever since the movie came out, but this sounds like it’s closer to actually being done.
Michael Keaton and Geena Davis have been nudging Tim to get started on the followup movie, so we cannot wait! Winona said at the Toronto International Film Festival, “I heard about it from journalists, that’s how I found out, but I’m seeing Tim next week, and I will let you know. I’m trying to think about how that would work. Obviously, I’m not [the focal point], it’s got to be Michael. So is it happening? It’s being written, but is it happening? Tim hasn’t confirmed it yet.”
