When George Takei finally got married to his longtime boyfriend Brad Altman, he invited several members of the Star Trek cast. Of those members, William Shatner was not one to get an invite. So, Bill has taken to his YouTube channel to discuss the snub.
Bill says that George went out of his way to denigrate him and that he can’t find peace in his life. He says that he feels pity for George. He goes on to say that since neither of them have many years left in this world, that George would say that he wishes him well. Instead, he says that George made a big deal about not inviting him to his wedding.
You can tell that Bill is still a little miffed about being snubbed by his former castmate, as he invited Uhura and Chekov, but not him. George and Brad were married on September 14th, and I have to wonder why Bill waited a month to ask the question? Was it so that he could let his anger over it fall by the wayside before issuing his public response?
