On Sunday, as the Oscars showed their 80 exciting moments of the Oscars montage, Whoopi Goldberg was excluded.
Apparently this has upset her and according to sources, the omission brought her to tears. Gil Cates, the producer of the show, says that it was “an absolute oversight” and that “No harm was intended, and I feel very, very badly that she was left out.”
He added that he was going to call her tol tell her that. He has said that the montage was not just comprised of hosts and was culled from hundreds of hours of Oscars footage.
As if to soften the blow, he added that former host Steve Martin also wasn’t in the montage. We don’t hear him whining about it, do we?
Also missing from a montage at the event, was any mention or tribute to late actor Brad Renfro. If I were a part of his family, I’d be on the phone teaching someone about respect.
