True Blood’s Season 5 Finale Was All Bloodshed

By Misty TV News

Sunday’s season five finale of True Blood was so good that we had to watch it several times just to reflect. There was a lot of bloodshed on the show and some surprises, as well.

Russell Edgington got blasted by the fairy tribe of Bon Temps, but he wasn’t affected whatsoever. Eric Northman used that opportunity to stake Russell and settle their ancient debt.

Sam and Luna went to the Authority in order to rescue Emma. Sam shifted into fly mode so that he can spy out the location. Luna skinwalked as Steve Newlin so that she could get her daughter out of the Authority compound, but was put on the spot for a newscast by Roslyn. She bared her fangs and fly-Sam flew into her mouth and exploded her body from the inside out.

Jason, Tara, Eric, Nora and Sookie all head into the Authority’s headquarters to save Bill from himself, Pam from the true death and Jessica from her crazy father. While doing so, Jason and co. deliver a true death to any vamp in their way.

In the end, Bill tricked Salome into thinking she was the chosen one by Lilith. She drank the sacred blood only to become incapacitated by the silver poisoned liquid in its place. Bill staked her and drank the blood, only to become some crazy Lilith-like blood creature.

What did you think? A fitting end to Alan Ball’s term as showrunner?
