Transformers Director Michael Bay says Shia LaBeouf wasn’t drunk

Transformers director Michael Bay has felt the need to speak up and defend Shia LaBeouf in the wake of his DUI and accident.

Michael says that he’s confident Shia LaBeouf will be cleared of his DUI, because he’s adamant that Shia wasn’t over the legal limit when he was arrested. He says that Shia was drinking a lot earlier in the day and a lot of time had passed between the drinking and the driving.

He said on today’s Access Hollywood, “He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.”

So that makes it right? I mean, I know that Shia wasn’t at fault in the accident, but it kind of looks like Michael Bay is condoning drinking before driving, just as long as it’s waaaaaaaaaay before the driving part.
