Top Gun director Tony Scott jumped off of a bridge in San Pedro, California on Sunday. He was 68-years-old when he leaped to his death in full view of boaters by the bridge.
The Coroner revealed that the director jumped off of the Vincent Thomas Bridge spanning the distance between San Pedro and Terminal Island at roughly 12:30PM. He left a suicide note in his Prius, which he had left parked on the bridge. His body was discovered using sonar equipment four hours after he jumped to his death.
Reportedly, Tony left a letter in his office, which appeared to be a contact list of names of people to inform of his passing. According to the latest news surrounding his death, he had just learned that he was suffering from an inoperable brain tumor.
So sad. May he rest in peace.
