Tom Cruise turned superhero for new movie based on Sleeper comics?

Able to leap tall couches in a single bound, comes Tom Cruise the superhero! Wait, what?

No really, you read that correctly. Tom Cruise is reportedly crossing over into comic books. And why not with all of the success Iron Man has seen. Sources say that Tom has teamed up with Spiderman director Sam Raimi to develop a movie based on DC Comics’ ‘Sleeper’.

Tom is quoted to be “loosely attached” to star in this tale of a superhero operative who merges with an alien artifact and becomes invulnerable to pain. He’s also able to transfer that ability to others through touch.

I still get the vibe that since Tom Cruise discovered that he was into Scientology, he’s been seen publicly as a wackjob and is box office poison.

This production will probably see the light of day thanks to United Artists.
