Now that Katie Holmes has filed for divorce from Tom Cruise and enrolled their daughter Suri into Catholic school there, it appears that Tom has decided to take up residence in the Big Apple. Why, you might wonder, since they lived in California? To be closer to his daughter, of course.
A source said, “Tom’s looking for a new home here. He wants a fresh start. He doesn’t want to go back to the East Village apartment where he was living with Katie.”
Katie is living in Chelsea with Suri and Tom is looking at places outside the city along with some pricey homes in town. The source said, “He’s looking for something that’s very private. Where he won’t have to deal with going through a lobby, and people outside all the time. He also wants to have a nice amount of space for Suri, with outdoor space. That could mean high-end luxury apartments, but he’s also looking at houses outside of the city or in gated communities.”
Tom doesn’t want to go back to the place he shared with Katie, either. The spy said, “Tom wasn’t staying in their old apartment, because that would have been strange.”
The source added that Tom wants to be “an active parent”, saying, “So New York, get ready for a lot more of Tom.”
Couches are all on high alert for his impending move to NYC.
