Tina Fey in talks to play Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live

Veteran Saturday Night Live actress Tina Fey is reportedly in talks to play Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin on the show’s season premiere this saturday.

The New York Post has said that Tina has not yet agreed to play Sarah on the show, but the idea is being discussed.

The show’s executive, Lorne Michaels said that there are discussions about it and that “They’re ongoing.”

A sketch featuring Sarah has already been written and rehearsed by another SNL cast member, but it may be changed due to Sarah’s Thursday night ABC interview.

This will also be the first SNL show for Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps, so I’m sure that people will be watching. Tina Fey is the only one out of the SNL cast that would do the part any justice, so we can only hope that she agrees to do it.
