The 2009 Golden Globe nominations are in; Brad Pitt, Heath Ledger, & Tom Cruise?!??

The awards season is getting underway with the release of the 2009 Golden Globe nominations. I was surprised looking at the list, to see Tom Cruise for his minor part as that crazy agent in Tropic Thunder. I loved the movie, but I didn’t think his part in the movie was big enough to garner a nod. It would have been better suited to go to Matthew McConaughey for his part in the same movie, but that’s just my opinion. Also taking a nod for the same flick, is Robert Downey, Jr. He played an Australian man playing a black man in his role for the movie. Where the heck is Jack Black?

Of course, Heath Ledger got a posthumous nod for his role as the Joker in The Dark Knight. He’ll probably take the award, don’t you think?
