Taylor Swift Wrote Breakup Song To Annoy Her Ex-Boyfriend

It’s never been a secret that when Taylor Swift gets burned, she is going to take it out on the guy in song. Her latest song, a breakup song called We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, was written for just that purpose. While she won’t name the guys that she sings about, she will talk about the musical aspect.

She said that she wrote that particular song in order to annoy her ex-boyfriend when he heard it on the radio. She wrote the song about the guy who put her music down so that she could get her own revenge against him.

In a new interview, she said, “It’s a definitive portrait of how I felt when I finally stopped caring what my ex thought of me. He made me feel like I wasn’t as good or as relevant as these hipster bands he listened to. So I made a song that I knew would absolutely drive him crazy when he heard it on the radio. Not only would it hopefully be played a lot, so that he’d have to hear it, but it’s the opposite of the kind of music that he was trying to make me feel inferior to.”

When asked why she wanted to torture her former flame, she said, “Because that’s fun.”

It was rumored that this song was actually dedicated to Jake Gyllenhaal, whom she dated and called it quits with over and over.
