Listen up, fellas! It’s not Taylor Swift’s fault if you date her, end up cheating on her and she uses your failed relationship as fodder to make millions from her country music albums. So just be warned in case you’re all lining up to be with her. It’s a chance you take when you get with Taylor…if you do something she doesn’t like, she will write a song about you. Just ask John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Joe Jonas.
When speaking in a new interview, she doesn’t make any apologies about her love of writing about her exes. She said, “Well, it’s not like it’s in the fine print. But music is absolutely everything that I am and everything that I stand for. It’s not my fault if someone gets into a relationship with me and then cheats and I write a song about it.”
So, guys, you’ve been warned. Taylor won’t call you out in song by your name, but she will give us a good idea of who she’s referring to in her lyrical revenge. Who else could Dear John be about? Ha.
