Simon Cowell turns down $2 million Viagra deal

Simon Cowell

Music mogul Simon Cowell says that he once turned down a $2 million offer to promote Viagra, because he viewed the offer as “a f**king insult.”

The American Idol judge admits he was asked to become the new face of the medicine, but was so outraged at the manufacturer’s offer that he rejected their seven-figure deal.

He says, “Last year my agent rang me and said: ‘You’ve been offered an incredibly big deal. It’s to be the face of Viagra.’ “And I just said: ‘Sorry, but that has to be a f**king insult.’”

I can’t say that I blame him. If you put your face on a product, you’re endorsing it. By endorsing Viagra, he’s telling everyone that he can’t get it up. I wouldn’t have done it either.

But, on the other hand, that is a lot of money. I guess when you have money coming out of your ears, it doesn’t really matter and you can afford to turn down “insults” like this.
