Don’t believe the hype! When it comes to our Sex & The City gals, they are not heading to the thrift shop anytime soon.
Recession is not a word in any of the girls from Sex and the City’s vocabulary. Even if it were, it would mean them shopping for Manolo Blahniks at a ten percent off sale.
Sarah Jessica Parker revealed that the sequel will feature the girls’ wardrobe to be more “recession friendly”, but it has just been revealed that this recession won’t be following the girls into the movie.
SATC stylist Patricia Field said that we’ll have none of that recession nonsense. She says, “I wouldn’t do it. Of course the four girls are going to be fabulous and flamboyant – otherwise what is the point? I want to do it the other way. I’d be like, ‘Forget your troubles.’ I don’t use the recession as a reference for my creativity.”
Parker said that it would be inappropriate to show off designer labels when people are having such a hard time, but she’s wrong. We all just really want an escape. She said, “Carrie will have been affected and she’s not an idiot. She’s gonna have to change from thinking about indulgence.”
I can’t wait to see the new movie already. Let’s get the SATC party started already.
