Russell Crowe will play Robin Hood & the sheriff in Ridley Scott’s movie, Nottingham

Russell Crowe

Ridley Scott has just revealed that he has cast Russell Crowe in dual roles for his new flick, Nottingham. The actor will play the parts of Robin Hood and the sheriff of Nottingham. Scott revealed the news to MTV during an interview for his new film, Body of Lies, where he said, “He’s playing both!”

He also said that the dual roles would be “a good old clever adjustment of characters. One becomes the other. It changes.”

Does that mean that the sheriff will know that what he’s doing isn’t helping the people of Nottingham, so he decides to help the poor? Will we have a way to distinguish the roles from each other? Would you go to a theater to see Russell Crowe good versus bad?

Russell Crowe’s got the accent for Robin Hood (or the sheriff), though he could stand to loose a little weight…
