Chris Brown has nabbed himself two felonies for his beat down on girlfriend, Rihanna, last month. He beat her so horribly, it’s just unfathomable how he’s still walking the streets. After his spin doctors let it slip that he was taking anger management courses just to look better in the public eye, I was even more outraged.
He was charged with felonious assault and making criminal threats yesterday, while attending court in L.A. His attorney had the arraignment pushed to April 6th, which leads me to believe that they want to keep postponing it so that they can try to sweep it under the rug.
Now, her family has reacted to the charges, with one of her family members saying, “It’s about time.” My thoughts exactly.
Another family member said, “He should be in jail. He deserves whatever he gets.”
I agree. He definitely deserves to serve the entire four years so that others know by his example, that it’s never okay to hit another person and do to them what he did to her. It’s unimaginable to me why she went back to him. Experts would say that they are in the honeymoon phase of the domestic abuse cycle. I can agree with that, but what makes him so good that she stays?
Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, says, “I was annoyed. I never hit my daughter. Why should he hit her? Why would anyone do that? I was crazy, but I don’t know the situation and I wasn’t there.”
Another relative said, “No one wants them back together. I don’t ever want her to go through this again.”
I hope that Rihanna will be able to one day see through him and realize that when you love someone, the thought never enters your mind to hit them and brutally attack them, like he did her.
