Reese Witherspoon & Jake Gyllenhaal are not engaged

Despite a flurry of internet reports suggesting that Jake Gyllenhaal had popped the question to Reese Witherspoon, they’re calling BS on all of the stories.

Representatives for both of them are denying the tabloid reports saying that they’re engaged.

The reps say, “They are not engaged, getting married or any of the reports.” They also called the reports “lies.”

Sure, maybe Ryan Phillippe has moved on with his girlfriend Abbie Cornish, but Jake and Reese aren’t wanting to spill the beans on any engagement just yet. It was recently reported that Abbie was upset that Ryan wanted to keep their relationship behind closed doors, so I’m starting to think that neither side wants to be the first to suggest that they’re getting engaged.
