Police deny investigation into Britney Spears’ drugging accusations

L.A. police have denied that they are formally investigating the claims that Britney Spears was drugged by her ex-manager and pal, Sam Lutfi.

Lutfi was served with a restraining order earlier this month and was instructed to stay away from the recovering popwreck. Lynne Spears had claimed that Sam had admitted drugging her daughter’s food.

Now, the LAPD has confirmed that issues regarding the singer are being looked into but insisted that there is no current official investigation underway and no formal suspects.

Captain Kyle Jackson of LAPD’s Robbery Homicide division issued the following statement:

“The issues regarding Britney Spears are being considered by the department to determine if laws have been violated. Particular suspects have not yet been fully identified nor has a formal investigation into open charges officially commenced. At this time we don’t know whether or not a formal investigation will be initiated.”

Well, someone needs to do something about the accusations. Sam Lutfi shouldn’t be allowed to drug Britney and get away with it. It’s not cool to use her for her money, drug her food, and then control her finances like that.

Not unless he’s her conservator, of course.
