Pink turned down an offer to appear as a judge on the upcoming season of American Idol. Who knew?!?
The show has already confirmed that Mariah Carey would be stepping in as a judge in Jennifer Lopez’s spot. Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler said that he won’t be returning and Randy Jackson’s future on the show is unclear. But one thing is for sure, Pink didn’t want to judge the talent on the show next season. Not only that, but she also rejected offers for The Voice: Australia and The X Factor.
She said, “I was offered The Voice in Australia plus American Idol and The X Factor. I said no because you can’t be honest. People will hate you if you’re honest. Simon Cowell is the only person who gets away with it because he’s got an accent. And he’s a man.”
She went on to say, “People would just hate me more than they already do. I don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings. Besides, you can sing karaoke anywhere…”
