Mischa Barton’s DUI case was granted a continuance in Beverly Hills court today, but her lawyer says that he’s hoping to make a deal before their next scheduled hearing on April 10th.
As we already know, she was busted for driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, and driving without a license on December 27th.
Her attorney, Anthony Salerno, says that Mischa is taking the charges very seriously, but both were relieved that she wasn’t charged with felony possession for the pot.
Sources say that the court will likely accept a deal that will have Mischa getting probation and A.A. classes. They should probably toss in some community service, too.
Don’t you think? I don’t think it’ll be a hard enough sentencing if she gets off that easy. She could’ve killed someone. Someone needs to send a message to celebrities that they aren’t any different than the rest of us. Right?
It’s expected that the court will accept a deal that will see the 22-year-old getting standard probation and being required to attend an alcohol awareness class.
