Mark Wahlberg turned down George Clooney’s Oceans movies

Mark Wahlberg is really running off at the mouth lately. First of all, let me just say that I absolutely loved hearing him say that he wished the Beckhams would go back to the U.K.. That kind of bluntness, you just can’t buy.

When asked if it’s true that he turned down the chance to be in the Ocean’s films, he replied with:

Yeah - and it was well worth it! The second one sucked! People tell George Clooney it’s great, but we all know it sucked. I made two bad movies instead - Planet Of The Apes and The Truth About Charlie - but doing that was better than sitting with Brad and George, telling the press how great everybody is! “We were in Europe, George was funny, then we had some wine…” - that’s not for me. I do love those guys, but I had to step out on my own.

At least he’s not so self-absorbed to realize that the two movies he did in place of the Oceans movies sucked. Glad to see he’s down to Earth about everything. I think he should go back to doing Calvin Klein ads.

Maybe that’s just me.
