It’s unsurprising that the powers that be behind American Idol are already trying to stir the drama pot on the show in preparation for the premiere this coming January. So, of course they had to pit two of the judges against each other. Enter Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj’s feud of this past week. Drama brings anticipation of viewers, no?
Mariah has confirmed that there was, in fact, a feud between herself and Nicki during the auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina. Barbara Walters said on The View that she spoke with Mariah and that Mimi told her Nicki threatened her life.
Barbara said, “Nicki walked off the set and multiple people heard Nicki say, ‘If I had a gun I would shoot the b*tch.’”
Oh snap! Of course, Mariah has hired some extra security guards just in case. Mariah told Barbara that Nicki “has not apologized, but they have since been at meetings with producers and judges.”
Barbara offered Nicki a spot on her show so that she could defend herself. In return, Nicki took to her official Twitter page to say, “I don’t call tmz n Barbara Walters cuz I stand on my own two feet. Never needed an army. God is good. Insecurity is as cruel as the grave. I guess it hurts 2 have the producers tell u to ur face that nicki is the best judge we’ve had since simon. Awww, poor u. Keep them lies cmn.”
