Madonna Urges Fans To Vote For Obama; Gets Booed

Madonna has no doubt been a long-time proponent of President Barack Obama. Over the weekend, she took her support of the prez to a whole new level.

On Saturday in New Orleans, she performed a concert as part of her MDNA tour. She decided to use that platform to encourage her fans to vote Democrat this election.

She asked the crowd, “Who’s registered to vote?”

After that, she said, “I don’t care who you vote for as long as you vote for Obama.” This comment drew boos from the audience, with some opting to leave the arena. She followed her pro-Obama comment with, “Seriously, I don’t care who you vote for. Do not take this privilege for granted. Go vote.”

Does she have any place in telling her audience and fans who to vote for this election? Do you think those in the public eye have a responsibility to use their platforms wisely or not at all?
