Madonna was suing mad over the publication of her private wedding photographs to Guy Ritchie by the Mail on Sunday.
The photographer took the pictures for Madonna as a gift and were copied by an interior designer who made $5,000 off of the sale. On October 19th, the newspaper published eleven of the photographs on the front cover and also in a double page spread.
Her lawyer said, “She was ambushed, for the simple reason that if the Mail on Sunday had told her what they intended to do, the claimant would have sought and obtained an injunction.”
The judge entered judgment in Madonna’s favor today. So she’s now £5 million richer because some dude creeped into her Beverly Hills home and sold her pictures. I guess that’s one way to profit from the fall of her marriage to Guy?
