Reality star Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kris Humphries on October 31st of last year, but it seems that the divorce is taking the longest in the history of celebrity divorces. They were only married for 72 days and Kim filed for separation from the NBA player citing irreconcilable differences.
Kim’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, seems to think she has the reason that Kris is delaying the divorce proceedings. According to her, he just loves all of the attention that he’s getting as a result of the divorce.
The high powered attorney appeared in court today and revealed that there has been no progress in settling the divorce whatsoever. The former couple had a prenuptial agreement, of which Kris is challenging, saying that their marriage was a total sham. Basically, he is saying that she only married him to boost ratings for her reality show, thus frauding him.
The case is now moving into depositions, so we will learn what motivated Kim and Kris to get married to each other. I, for one, hope that all of this comes out in the media spotlight. We need to learn just how far Kim would go in order to stay famous. Would she marry this guy just to get ratings?
