Kirsten Dunst wants to move to New York

Kirsten Dunst is said to be turning her back on Hollywood and calling New York her home, because she feels that life is easier for celebrities in New York.

She currently has a home in L.A., but is considering selling her three-bedroom home and leaving for good. She also an apartment in New York’s TriBeCa district and says that she plans on renovating the property and living there. I’m thinking that this decision has to do with her being hounded by the paparazzi wherever she goes in L.A. I’m pretty sure that they’re almost as bad in New York, but it’s probably the lesser of the two evils.

She says of the proposed renovations, “I’m very hands-on. I’m not someone who hires someone to do their houses for them.” She also says that those plans will come to a halt if her personal life becomes the center of everyone’s attention there. She says, “I’m not going to go there if what I do is written about. I’m very aware. I’m like an eagle eye. I’m not free as a bird (when I’m there), but I love to dance. And I literally gone up to people and said, ‘Did you just take my picture?’ I have to protect myself.”

I don’t think the paparazzi are going to stop following her around anytime soon. Everyone already knows where she lives and she’s a popular subject when it comes to who she’s dating and where’s she’s clubbing.
