Former Sex And The City star Kim Cattrall might just be popping back up in the movie adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey. Of course she won’t be taking the lead role of Anastasia Steele, but we’re hearing reports that she is being considered for the role of Elena AKA Mrs. Robinson.
We think that she would be perfect for the role, considering her past role as Samantha Jones. She would play Elena, who is the older love interest for young billionaire Christian Grey prior to his meeting Anastasia. She’s the one who introduced Christian to the world of bondage.
She is said to be competing with Uma Thurman for the role, but Kim has said that she hasn’t ruled out the racy role. In a new interview, she said, “As far as I’ve heard, it’s between me…I’m duking it out, unintentionally, in people’s mind with Uma Thurman at the moment! That’s based on a lot of people’s blogs and desires. As far as I know they are just writing the script so I think the casting process is a little bit further down the pipe than it is now.”
She added, “It’s been such a sensation, truly extraordinary. Woman especially are getting it on their Kindles so nobody knows what they’re reading.”
