Despite all of the drama that surrounds Katie Holmes in her divorce from Tom Cruise, we’ve had to wonder how little Suri is doing. In previous photo ops, she’s been with her mother and father and we’ve kind of wondered if she has any little friends her own age.
Now that Katie has run kicking and screaming from the pits of Scientology and controlling Tom, it appears that she’s having a blast. And Suri looks to be enjoying herself as well. Apparently, Suri had a play date with some friends of her own age. Cute, right?
They all ventured off to Alice’s Tea in NYC and later, the Children’s Museum in Manhattan. An onlooker said of Suri, “She was looking at everything behind the counter and literally said, ‘This is the best day ever!’”
It sounds like Suri has lived a really sheltered life so far, but is now able to mingle with people her own age. Instead of being home-schooled as Scientology would dictate, reportedly, Katie wants Suri to enter into the first grade.
We’re glad that Katie got her daughter away from all of that Scientology nonsense. It doesn’t sound healthy for Suri, and in the end, that’s what the courts are going to look at. It’ll be interesting to see how all of this shakes out.
