After Jon & Kate Gosselin announced their impending divorce, their whole world seems to be crumbling around them. Their show, “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ saw a 77 percent decrease in viewership on Monday, along with her cookbook and clothing line getting put on hold.
Her book was titled, “Love is in the Mix: Making Meals into Memories”, but with the announcement of the couple’s divorce, it doesn’t seem like anything is in the mix anymore, except trouble.
Now, it appears that her clothing line with Healthtex is also hanging in the balance. A Healthtex rep said, “Our project is on hold while she focuses on her family.”
Isn’t that a nice way of telling Kate that she needs to get her crap together before the cash cow runs dry?
As far as the book is concerned, methinks she’s going to have to rethink the title. What do you think she should call it?
A cookbook, really? I have watched her show, what recipes could she possibly fill a cookbook with? I know how to make heart pancakes, heart sandwiches, I know how to make a chocolate cake, that’s edible, and I have recipes for almost every kind of snack mix. I know how to buy and serve yogurt, apples, even “organic” lollypops. I can decorate in a whimsicle manner (thanks Martha Stewart). Kate complained about a tight schedule, no time, and of course Jon was incapable of helping. When did she develop and perfect a bookful of recipes? Did she have a “Ghost Chef” writing the cookbook with her? Vexing isn’t it?
