Josh Hartnett is suing over public sex story

Josh Hartnett is looking for an apology and has slapped a defamation lawsuit against The Daily Mirror for saying that he carried on a “sexual dalliance” in a public area in a hotel in London.
He was in London awaiting reviews of Rain Man where he plays the part made famous by Tom Cruise. He says the newspaper’s claims are “not only untrue but a complete fabrication.” His lawyers said they are “defamatory and unsubstantiated.”
It was reported that Josh had a late night romp at the hotel and were recorded on closed-circuit television. He says the claims are “rubbish” and the paper “said it was rumored I was caught on CCTV. But how can you have a rumor about a video? It would be on the internet by now.”
He’s right. If someone has a celebrity sex tape to share or try to sell, Youtube is only a click away and that video would’ve been up ten minutes after it was made.
There has been no word yet as to how much he’s seeking in damages from the lawsuit.
