Jon Voight Claims Reconciliation With Angelina Jolie

After falling out over seven years ago, it appears that Angelina Jolie put the rift between her and her father, Jon Voight, behind her.

At the behest of partner Brad Pitt, Angelina made the first move in contacting her dad. No, we’re not experiencing deja vu from last year, where Brad was urging her to make contact….or maybe we are?

To recap, in 2002, Jon said that Angie had some serious emotional issues, and in response, she cut him out of her life.

Now, he has confirmed that they are back on speaking terms. He said, “We’re in touch, but not regularly. We love each other and that’s the most important thing.”

Sources say that the two met face-to-face in February, but have been in contact ever since. The source added, “Angie made the initial contact. Brad has been supportive - a key factor in her reaching out.”

I believe in what Angelina has said previously, that families are earned, I am just glad that she’s giving him the chance to try and do just that.
