Jon Cryer Wins Emmy; Credits Charlie Sheen

Jon Cryer won an Emmy last night! Congratulations to him for those in charge of the voting to finally realize his accomplishments on Two And A Half Men, it’s about time!

When he delivered his acceptance speech, he was sure to credit the departure of his former co-star Charlie Sheen. He said that he would never have picked up the award for Best Lead Actor if Charlie was still around.

After Charlie was fired, Ashton Kutcher was tapped to join the show as Walden Schmidt. Since, it’s been more of a partnership for Jon, instead of just getting second billing. We don’t understand why he would get second billing anyways, he was DUCKY for crying out loud!

Jon took the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series last night after previously winning a Supporting Actor award. But he attributes his new win to Charlie’s exit. When speaking with the L.A. Times, Jon said, “When Charlie and I were going on the show together, the show really rested on Charlie. The show was really structured around his character, so it was silly for me to be in the lead character. That’s changed. It’s more of a partnership.”

Congrats to him on the win! He deserved it!
