John Edwards, a senator from North Carolina just got the verdict back on his trial. It was an example of how the system failed. Edwards who is as crooked as Forrest Gump’s spine has been found not guilty on one of the six counts against him in the trial, and the other 5 were declared a mistrial.
What this means is for Edwards is that he will have to start the whole legal process all over again, and will give him another shot at buying off some jurors, or whatever it is that crooked politicians do. The good news is that it is probably going to cost him double in legal fees. I guess there is a silver lining to every dark cloud.
So if you have been following this trial like it’s American Idol, stay tuned to see the whole thing all over again, and this time hopefully for realsies.
