Jennifer Aniston’s publicist was helping her find a date for her premieres?

Jennifer Aniston didn’t want to be left out in the cold without a date when her movie, Marley & Me, comes out in theaters on December 25th. Coincidentally, the movie shares the same release date as ex-husband Brad Pitt’s move, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. While Brad’s got Angelina Jolie as his arm candy, Jen’s people were scouting the scene for a suitable date for her.

Page Six reports that Jennifer’s agent was out shopping for a new man for Jennifer’s appearances. Just in case something happened and John Mayer wasn’t around, she’d have a back up.

A source said, “She didn’t want to face the glare of being unattached while Brad Pitt toted Angelina Jolie around” and that she “did not want to be single when her movie opened.” Adding that a friend of her agent was calling around asking around to try to set her up. The plans were scrapped when her and John got back together.

It’s so nice of her people to be thinking about her needing a date so she doesn’t look so pitiful in the public eye.
