It’s the celebrity feud that’s a gift that keeps on giving to the tabloid weeklies. The National Enquirer claimed that after Jennifer Aniston “collapsed” upon learning of Brad Pitt’s engagement to Angelina Jolie, she promptly ordered $1,000 worth of flowers and sent them to Angie.
Of course this story wouldn’t be complete if there wasn’t a twist. Apparently the flowers that Jennifer ordered were orange lilies. A source said, “Jen wanted to show that she’s the bigger person. Jen’s purpose was to make it look like she was letting bygones be bygones.”
Suuuuuuuuurrrrreee. A guide to flowers has revealed that the orange lily is actually symbolic of hatred and dislike. So much for letting bygones be bygones, right?
The gesture of sending flowers has prompted Angelina to call Jennifer to thank her. That, of course, led to an invitation to have lunch in London this summer.
A pal revealed, “Jen and Angelina have hated each other for years, and they’ve each thought long and hard about what they’d say if they ever got face to face. Angelina will be going on the attack about Jen always playing the victim – and Jen is going to blast back to Angie for being Hollywood’s greatest husband stealer.”
Oh to be a fly on the wall if any of this is true.
