Hayden Panettiere went to a club in Suffern, New York and tried to get a drink from the bartender. When he carded her and found out that she’s only 19, he confiscated her driver’s license.
Hayden was said to have snuck into the side door of the club and tried to order an alcoholic beverage. After taking her license, her and her friends were escorted off of the premises.
The owner of the establishment said that his staff tried to explain to Hayden that she’d have to call the police to get her license back, so that’s what she did. Reportedly, she called and told the dispatcher that she needed her ID back so that she could “get on a plane in a couple of days.”
It just goes to show you that even though you’re famous, it doesn’t mean that you can get a drink whenever you want it. That is, unless your last name is Hilton.
