Halle Berry is gearing up to marry her fiancee Olivier Martinez, but has since put her wedding plans on hold so that she can take care of her location issues. Halle wants to take her daughter Nahla and move to France, but is waiting on moving forward with her marriage plans until she gets that all sorted out.
When she was asked about her wedding plans, she said, “I’m not sure where I am going to be living in the next few months, so I have to get that settled first. It’s the appeal of privacy and a greater sense of safety for Nahla. Because we are followed all the time, she is starting to feel like she is somehow special, and of course she is, but I want her to understand that she’s special because of who she is, not because she was born into this celebrity blender.”
With regard to her custody issues with Gabriel Aubry, she added, “There is turbulence, but this too shall pass.”
She also talked of her wedding plans, saying, “I do know it will be very small. I haven’t been to many weddings, but I went to one this weekend with 250 guests. I thought, ‘Wow, so this is a wedding, huh?’ I’ve never had that, nor have I wanted that. I wasn’t even trying to catch the bouquet.”
