We’ve all heard the spoilers, so we kind of knew that Emily Maynard would end up with People Water head honcho Jef Holm on this season of The Bachelorette. Still we watched to see how she would break the news to runner-up Arie Luyendyk. She didn’t drag it out and just told him of her decision, which was good on her for how she handled that.
In Curacao, the guys met her parents. After not leaning toward either of the guys, Emily was confused. She even said that she hadn’t planned on introducing either of the men to her daughter Ricki. After going on her final date with Jef, she introduced him to Ricki. This made it clear to her that she didn’t need another date with Arie and that Jef was the one for her.
The day after sending Arie home, Jef got down on one knee and proposed. He presented her with a big diamond ring and she accepted. The rest is basically reality TV history. How long do you think they will last?
